Nick Ploplys

In my two years with the Alleyne Research Group (ARG), I had the privilege of starting the CLOWN project (Closed Loop Over a Wireless Network) and seeing this research through to the successful implementation of a wireless control loop on two physical plants.  The first of these plants, a Krusty the Clown doll modified by group members Doug Bristow and Don Carter into a Furuta pendulum, is shown above.  I'll miss you, Krusty.... and the rest of the ARG too.
